Tara is the owner of Hazel Salon & Organics, and has been doing hair since she was 10 and cut all of her Barbie's hair. Since then she has trained and worked with some of he biggest names in the industry, including Vidal Sassoon, Toni and Guy, Redken NY, Andre Nitze and the American Board Of Certified Haircolorists, as well as Kim Vo, Beth Minardi, Guy Tang, and many more. She is currently the Northwest Regional Educator for Organic Color Systems and is a Certified Organic Colorist. Tara specializes in natural blended and soft multi-tonal color, low maintenance color looks, and balayage. Tara's favorite services are pixie cuts, bangs, and shaggy razor cuts. Outside the salon, Tara spends time with her teenage daughter, three dogs, and a glass of wine!
Lindsay has been doing hair since 2003, when she graduated from Carsten Institute. She began her career working with Aveda and took advantage of the advanced education they offer. She continues to attend classes and shows some of the top names in the industry, including Kim Vo, Beth Minardi, Sam Villa, and many more. She loves the creative outlet and fashion focus the industry provides. Connecting with clients and their energy keeps her excited about coming to work every day. Lindsay's specialties are blonding, short haircuts, as well as face framing, and natural long and flowing layers. Lindsay is Hazel Salon & Organics Lead Stylist, as well as a certified organic colorist. Outside the salon Lindsay loves traveling, hiking, rock climbing, and best of all... spending time with her dogs.
Shannon has been a licensed stylist since 2010. A long term Aveda veteran, she has attended a ton of education from some of the best, including Jon Reyman, Ricardo Dinis, and Ian Michael Black. Shannon identifies as a hairstylist, loves her job and the culture behind it. She is inspired by blonding of all kinds, taming curly hair and unruly hair, as well as creative mens cuts. Making people happy an changing their outlook in a positive way is her passion. Outside the salon, Shannon enjoys holding chickens, eating gluten, and thrift shopping.
Nikki, a recent transplant from Ventura California, has been a hairstylist since 2008. She has spent most of her career with Aveda, and is a veteran of their numerous advanced trainings including balayage, bridal styling, and others. Nikki is driven to advance her training and has continued with Sally Rogerson, Kevin Murphy, Davines Eduoardo Paludo, Angelo Seminara, and Phillip Wilson. She is a Certified Organic Colorist. Becoming a hairstylist is a natural fit for Nikki as she loves being with people and being a positive part of their day. Nikki specializes in thorough consultations to ensure understanding of the desired result. She loves blowdrying and styling hair. Outside of the salon, Nikki loves hiking, cooking, hanging out with her fiancé and dog, Olive!
Becca has been doing hair for over 10 years, originally attending the Toni & Guy Academy in Phoenix, Arizona. Since then she has worked for Goldwell as a color ambassador and Bumble and Bumble as a network educator, in addition to working in the salon full time. Those positions required tons of additional brand training. Additionally she has trained with John Simpson, Nick Arroyo, Davines, Sally Rogerson, and more. Her specialties are bobs, razor cuts, balayage and curly hair. Her favorite services are Mens cutting, styling, and short texture! In her free time she is into exploring the outdoors in her new home of Washington State!
Aubriel has been a licensed stylist for 12 years. Hailing from Pennsylvania via Phoenix, she is a recent Seattle transplant who is a confident and experienced stylist. She works efficiently and makes you feel comfortable in her hands. Starting her career at Aveda, she studied under Ian Michael Black, Jon Reyman, Lisa Vann, and Gerard Scarpacci. Aubriel is certified with Extensions, and she is an Organic Color Systems Certified Organic Colorist. Aubriel's specialties include Balayage, lightening, and long layers. Her favorite services are both short and longs mens haircuts, fading, and razor cuts. Outside the salon, Aubriel loves Sunday Funday, exploring her new home city of Seattle, and her french bulldog.
Katy has been a licensed esthetician for over 7 years and studied at the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute. Skin care and working with people are both of interest to Katy, this lead her to a career in esthetics. Katy has certifications in advanced body sugaring, as well as chemical skin peels. She has attended classes by Aveda, Rhonda Allison, Image Skin Care, and the International Dermal Institute. She has taken MAC professional make-up courses for special events. Katy's specialties include speed sugaring, threading and customized skin care treatments. Her favorite services to perform are brazilian and brow sugaring, as well as treatment facials and peels. Katy likes to spend time traveling, exploring Seattle's restaurant and bar scene, as well as attending theater and Mariner's games.
Olga is a Russian native, who has become a long term Seattleite. She graduated from The Euro Institute of Skin Care, and has since achieved many additional certifications including Sugaring, Brazilian Sugaring, Derma Planing, and Micro Needling. Olga is also a talented make up artist, who's attended several advanced make up trainings. Her favorite services are extractions, corrective facials, peels, and brow shaping. Olga got into esthetics because she loves to help others to feel comfortable and even love the skin they are in. She spends free time with her husband and extended family exploring the Seattle coffee and food scene.
While a Florida native, Virginia has been calling the PNW her home for over 6 years. Originally she came to Seattle, and to us at Hazel. She took a detour for a bit to Portland, but now is back at Hazel and we are so glad! Virginia has been licensed since 2008, and specializes in men's barbering, color, and giving the best scalp massages in town. In her free time she likes to spend time with her pup, and chill with friends exploring the Seattle bar scene.
